System Sizing

What Size System Do You Need?

6.6kW Most Popular System
13.3kW Larger Homes & High Usage
4–6hrs Typical Install Time
100% SAA Certified Install

6.6kW System (14 × 475W panels)

The most popular choice for Queensland homes. A 6.6kW system covers the typical household's daytime usage and feeds excess back to the grid. If your roof faces north or northeast and you're home during the day, this is usually the right starting point.

13.3kW System (28 × 475W panels)

For larger homes, home offices, pool pumps, or households with high air conditioning usage. If you have good roof availability and a sizeable power bill, a 13.3kW system paired with batteries can dramatically reduce what you pay the grid. Note: a 13.3kW installation is a full-day job.

Grid-Connect Solar

Your Home Uses Solar First — the Grid is the Backup

Once your system is installed, your home draws from solar power first. If you're generating more than you need, the excess feeds back to the grid and you receive a feed-in tariff credit on your bill — typically 6–16 cents per kWh depending on your retailer.

Most suburban homes are already grid-connected, which means installation is straightforward. Aaron handles the Electrical Work Request (EWR) to your energy supplier — there's no charge for this, though the meter changeover can take 2–6 weeks.

  • Solar generates → home uses it first
  • Excess feeds back to grid for a credit
  • Meter changeover handled by us — no cost to you
  • System stays off until meter is ready (we'll guide you through it)

Battery Storage

Use Your Own Power at Night

A battery system stores the solar energy you generate during the day so you can use it in the evening — when solar isn't producing but your house still needs power. It's the difference between exporting cheap energy to the grid and using it yourself.

We install Tesla Powerwall and other quality battery solutions. Battery storage is particularly valuable in Queensland with time-of-use tariffs — peak rates in the evening are when your stored solar saves you the most money.

  • Stores excess daytime solar for evening use
  • Reduces grid dependence during peak tariff periods
  • Tesla Powerwall and quality alternatives available
  • Pairs naturally with any new or existing solar system
EV Chargers

Charge Your Car on Sunshine

With more Queenslanders switching to electric vehicles, a home EV charger is quickly becoming standard. A smart EV charger connected to your solar system lets you charge from your own generation — so the fuel cost drops to near zero.

We install residential and commercial EV chargers. A smart charger can be set to only draw from solar surplus, which means your car charges for free during peak solar hours rather than draining the grid — or running up your bill.

  • Residential and commercial EV charger installation
  • Smart chargers that prioritise solar surplus
  • Installed by licensed Queensland electricians
  • Pairs perfectly with a new solar system

How It Works

From Quote to Switch-On

Free Quote

Donna walks you through your options. We look at your power bills, roof layout, and budget — and recommend what actually makes sense, not the most expensive option.

2

Installation Day

Aaron and the crew arrive between 7–8:30am. You don't need to be home all day — but someone should be there at the start to confirm equipment locations, and at the end for the handover and walkthrough.

3

Grid Connection

We lodge the Electrical Work Request with your energy supplier at no charge. Meter changeover typically takes 2–6 weeks. Your system stays off until the meter is ready — we'll let you know exactly when to turn it on.

4

Switch On

Once Energex or Ergon confirms the meter work is done, you turn your system on. From that day you're generating solar power and earning credits on your bill. We're available if you have any questions.
