Currumbin is really three different jobs. The beachside streets are a coastal install and have to be built like one. Currumbin Waters is flat, suburban and straightforward. Currumbin Valley is hinterland, with all the shading that implies. We quote them differently because they are different.
Salt-laden air is hard on metal, and a solar system is a lot of metal bolted to a roof for twenty-five years. Within a few streets of Currumbin beach, the fixings, rails and clamps have to be specified for a coastal environment — and the inverter wants to be somewhere sheltered, not mounted on an exposed wall facing the weather. It is not exotic, it is just a specification that has to be chosen deliberately rather than defaulted to.
Get it wrong and the panels are fine while the mounting system quietly corrodes underneath them. This is the sort of thing that does not show up for years, which is exactly why it is worth asking any installer what they are proposing to bolt to your roof and why.
Inland at Currumbin Waters the salt question largely goes away and it becomes an ordinary suburban install. Up in Currumbin Valley the constraint flips to shade and terrain, much like Mudgeeraba — steeper blocks, more tree cover, and a good case for panel-level electronics.

The panels themselves are sealed and coped with. The parts that need attention are the mounting rails, clamps and fixings, and where the inverter is mounted. Specified properly for a coastal site, a Currumbin system lasts as long as one anywhere else.
Quite different. The Valley is hinterland — steeper, more tree cover, and shading usually drives the design. Currumbin Waters is flat suburban and typically the simpler install of the two. Same company, different approach.
